Feature Purpose
Our comprehensive Parent-Child relationship management system within the mobile app allows users to view and interact with Head Offices, Pavilions, and their Child Companies distinctly. This provides a clear understanding of company hierarchies, making navigation and interaction more intuitive for users.
Please note there is also a setting to prevent showing child relationships:
-
Admin Panel Setting: There is a toggle named “Do not indicate Child companies” under
/admin/registration/esettings(Registration Settings > Exhbitor > Additional Settings. By default, it is off. -
App Influence: When enabled, the app hides child company indications in various sections like the Exhibitor list and public profiles.
Toggle Scope — What "Do not indicate Child companies" Does and Doesn't Hide
The "Do not indicate Child companies" toggle only suppresses child-side indicators. It does not hide the Parent/Pavilion icon itself — that marker is intentionally excluded from the toggle's scope.
-
Hidden by the toggle: the "N child companies" counter on parent/pavilion cards; the "child company of [Exhibitor]" label on child profiles.
-
NOT hidden by the toggle: the Parent/Pavilion icon on exhibitor cards — this remains visible by design, even with the toggle enabled, as the one remaining indication that a company is a Parent/Pavilion.
Display Details:
-
Exhibitors List: The app displays Head Offices and Child Companies, with Head Offices marked as "Parent Company" and showing the number of Child Companies. Child Companies are labeled as "Child company of [Exhibitor_name]."
-
Pavilions Tab: A tab named "Pavilions" has been added, displaying only Pavilions. Each Pavilion is marked as a "Parent Company" with the number of Child Companies.
-
Filters: Users can filter companies by "Parent" or "Child" status. This filter can be configured in the Admin Panel, allowing customization of visibility and naming.
-
Pavilion and Parent Exhibitor Cards: These cards include additional icons and information, such as the number of child companies and city and country of the parent exhibitor . The cards adapt dynamically depending on availablity of images and logos
-
Visibility and Access: If the Pavilions menu is not added in the mobile app settings, users will see Pavilions in the common Exhibitors list. The feature respects user access settings, ensuring that only authorized users can view specific content.
