Overview
Content Settings have been extended so that organisers can configure how Exhibitor Events are surfaced in the mobile app. This gives organisers explicit control over whether exhibitor-created events appear in the app, where they appear and how they are labelled, independently of how they appear on the event website.
Why this matters
-
Exhibitor events can be a significant part of the onsite programme. App-level Content Settings let organisers decide whether to promote them to mobile users or keep the app focused on the official agenda.
-
Organisers can re-label and re-order exhibitor event content for app users without affecting the web experience.
-
Visibility can be aligned with the rest of the app's content blocks for a consistent participant experience.
Where to find these settings
-
Go to App Builder (or the mobile app configuration area for the event).
-
Open Content Settings.
-
Locate the Exhibitor Events section.
What you can configure
-
Enable Exhibitor Events in the app. Master toggle that controls whether exhibitor events are shown anywhere in the mobile app.
-
Display name / label. Override the default label used for the Exhibitor Events list and menu item in the app.
-
App menu visibility. Decide whether the Exhibitor Events list is added to the app's main menu and where it sits in the menu order.
-
Detail page configuration. Control which elements of the exhibitor event detail page appear in the app (description, speakers, sponsor, related exhibitor, etc.).
-
Filter / sort defaults. Define how the Exhibitor Events list is sorted and filtered by default when opened in the app.
How this interacts with other settings
-
The master Exhibitor Events module must be enabled at Module Management for these app settings to take effect.
-
Exhibitor-level and category-level event permissions (auto-approval, ability to create events, event types) continue to be managed under Registration Settings and are not overridden here.
-
If an exhibitor event is hidden from the website by an admin, it will also be hidden from the app regardless of the Content Settings here.
