ExpoPlatform Floor Plan
This article explains how organizer can configure the ExpoPlatform Native Floor Plan
BACKEND INTERFACE:
Flow 1 | Flow 2 |
|
|
| Pre-requisites: Image Layer - should have atleast 90% stand structure (Size = 2 MB, 2208 pixel wide) dxf Layer - sits on top of the image layer NOTE: dxf layer is needed for hall images (only) There is a preview generated, when uploading the dxf file, confirm only when you are 100% sure and have tested the overall layout. |
Adding the exhibitor name (or) stand name in hall image structure is not essential as that information will be directly pulled from the backend. However, we can still add this information in the floor plan image and hide the exhibitor name or stand names from the Admin Panel.
WARNING: if your event already contains data, and more importantly if meetings have already been scheduled, deleting halls/stand will also delete meetings
DO NOT DELETE HALLS/STANDS IF YOUR EVENT ALREADY HAS MEETINGS SCHEDULED
ADDING GENERAL HALL PLAN IMAGE
First, you need to upload FloorPlan global image (all halls). For that click the Edit FloorPlan Image button and select an image. You can change it or remove it anytime in the future.
The next step is to add halls. Click Add New Hall button, enter the hall name and mark it on the plan. You can also add a hall background image.
Once added:
The image can be edited/replaced/deleted
Toggle ON/OFF - image will remain saved but can be switched OFF
Hide all stand names can be used to exclude stand numbers from the labelling.
MARKING HALLS: RECTANGLE (OR) POLYGON
Switching from the Rectangle to the Polygon option (and vice versa) – removes the previously marked area of the hall.
Marked areas added by both Rectangle and Polygon options are not allowed to overlap with the other marked areas.

The "Upload Stands .dxf file" button inside a hall will allow you to import stands draw with a CAD tool. In order to do this, the CAD file must be drawn according to the following rules:
Stands should be drawn using Polyline or SWPolyline objects
Stand labels should be of type Text. The label for a stand should be placed inside the stand polygon. There should never be more than one label within a single polygon.
Stand polygons should not overlap or include other stands inside them
Only stand information must be included in the dxf file, adding extra information can lead to random results.
Before uploading the dxf file, please do get it verified by the TAM working on your project.
SCENARIO = ONE HALL, USER TRIES TO ADD ANOTHER HALL
Once your file is processed, you will be able to adjust the scaling to ensure that it matches the background image. Stands will be automatically attached to the correct exhibitors if this information was present in the platform previously, or you can upload this using exhibitor uploads.
