Connections and Meetings Dashboard (Participant View)

Overview

The Connections and Meetings Dashboard is the participant's personal command centre inside the Meeting Program. It gives delegates, speakers, and buyers a single screen that answers three questions: who do I know here, who is trying to reach me, and what is happening in my diary today?

Where to find it

Sign in to the event front end as a participant and open the Meeting Program. The Dashboard is the first block on the page, sitting above the Matches List.

Activity feed

Below the counters, the Dashboard shows a short feed of recent activity:

  • "X requested a meeting with you" with quick Accept / Decline buttons.

  • "Y accepted your meeting" with a link to the meeting details.

  • "Z favourited your profile" — useful for warm follow-up.

  • System reminders for meetings starting soon.

Upcoming meetings strip

A horizontal scroller of the participant's next confirmed meetings, with attendee name, time, and location. Each card links to the meeting detail pop-up.

Actions available from the Dashboard

  • Accept or decline pending requests directly from the activity feed.

  • Propose a new time when responding to a request.

  • Open any meeting to see attendee info, location, and join links for virtual meetings.

  • Jump to the full schedule view from the "View all meetings" link.

  • Download the day's diary as an ICS calendar file.

States the participant might see

  • New user, empty Dashboard: a coaching panel invites the user to complete their profile and review the Matches List.

  • Active user during show days: the Today counter is highlighted, and reminders fire 10 minutes before each meeting.

  • Post-event: the Dashboard switches to a summary mode showing total meetings held and a CTA to export the contact list.

Notifications linked to the Dashboard

Activity surfaced on the Dashboard mirrors the email and push notifications that the participant has opted into. Numbers stay in sync whether the participant responds via email, mobile app, or front end.
