Delete my account (app)
Feature Purpose:
The Delete My Account feature allows users to remove their accounts either from a single event or from all events on the platform, ensuring users have control over their data.
Working with this Feature:
Accessing the Account Deletion Options
For logged-in users, the “Settings” button is always available by default.
This button is located in the burger menu and cannot be hidden or moved to the navigation menu.
Account Deletion Options on iOS Devices
Cancel Registration:
Deletes the account only from the current event, allowing the user to remain active in other events.
Delete My Account Globally:
Deletes the account from all available events on the platform (within the same environment).
This action is irreversible and removes all associated data.
Troubleshooting:
Unable to Find the Delete Option
Ensure you are logged into the app and accessing the “Settings” menu from the burger menu.
The option is always displayed and cannot be removed.
Account Not Deleted After Request
Try refreshing the app or logging out and back in.
Check if the deletion process is still in progress.
Accidentally Deleted an Account from All Events
Unfortunately, global account deletion is irreversible. Users will need to re-register if they wish to join events again.
