Delete my account (app)

Feature Purpose:

The Delete My Account feature allows users to remove their accounts either from a single event or from all events on the platform, ensuring users have control over their data.

Working with this Feature:

  1. Accessing the Account Deletion Options

  • For logged-in users, the “Settings” button is always available by default.

  • This button is located in the burger menu and cannot be hidden or moved to the navigation menu.

  1. Account Deletion Options on iOS Devices

  • Cancel Registration:

  • Deletes the account only from the current event, allowing the user to remain active in other events.

  • Delete My Account Globally:

  • Deletes the account from all available events on the platform (within the same environment).

  • This action is irreversible and removes all associated data.

Troubleshooting:

  1. Unable to Find the Delete Option

  • Ensure you are logged into the app and accessing the “Settings” menu from the burger menu.

  • The option is always displayed and cannot be removed.

  1. Account Not Deleted After Request

  • Try refreshing the app or logging out and back in.

  • Check if the deletion process is still in progress.

  1. Accidentally Deleted an Account from All Events

  • Unfortunately, global account deletion is irreversible. Users will need to re-register if they wish to join events again.
