Company/Product QR Code Deep Links
Feature Overview:
The organiser can enable the generation of QR codes for exhibitor companies and products, allowing the exhibitor to use these QR codes to drive additional leads.
Configuring QR Codes for Exhibitors and Products
Admin setup for exhibitor and product QR codes is located in the Admin Panel under Event Setup → General → Settings → QR Codes. This setting enables or disables QR codes for exhibitor profiles and product pages, allowing for tailored access to exhibitor content.
In addition to QR code settings, admins must configure the Application Universal Links in the Admin Panel → Event Setup → General → Settings → Application Universal Links. By specifying the required application, Universal Links ensure that users scanning QR codes are directed straight into the app, if it is installed, on the specific exhibitor or product page. Without this configuration, deep links may not function correctly in the mobile app, limiting the potential of direct access.
Exporting QR Codes for Exhibitors and Products
Admins can export QR codes for exhibitors and products from the Admin Panel under Management → Exhibitors → Export QR Codes. Exports can be filtered by exhibitor or product categories, allowing for precise management and distribution. If QR codes are disabled, the export button is automatically hidden, streamlining the process.
Individual Access for Exhibitors
Exhibitors can also download QR codes specific to their content via the Content tab on their profile page, enabling easy sharing of QR codes linked to media, videos, or other assets.
Access Control with Company and Product Deep Links
Company and product deep links support various scanning scenarios with built-in access control to protect exhibitor content:
External Scanner: When an attendee scans an exhibitor’s QR code with an external scanner, the platform first checks if the ExpoPlatform app is installed.
If the app is installed, users are prompted to open it on the exhibitor’s or product’s relevant page.
If the app is not installed, the scan directs users to the linked page on the ExpoPlatform website.
In both cases, access permissions are validated:
For logged-out users, the system prompts a login if the page requires restricted access.
Once logged in, ExpoPlatform checks the user’s permissions based on the platform’s access matrix, ensuring that only authorized attendees can view protected content.
Internal Scanner within the ExpoPlatform App
Scanning QR codes within the ExpoPlatform app directs attendees to the appropriate exhibitor or product page immediately and check permissions
