Overview
Attend a Stand is a new opt-in feature that lets users record their intention to visit an exhibitor's stand during the event.
It is a one-directional action: the user creates a list of exhibitors they plan to visit, and the exhibitor sees which users intend to attend their stand and when. It does not create a meeting and does not require confirmation by the exhibitor.
How to enable it (Admin)
Step 1 — Module Management (global toggle): Enable the new toggle Attend a Stand in Module Management. The toggle is OFF by default. When ON, the feature becomes available on the frontend, subject to per-category permissions.
Step 2 — Participant Categories (per-category setting): Navigate to Admin → Registration → Categories. For each participant category, open the settings and toggle Enable Attend a Stand (block title: Attend a Stand). Tooltip: Allows this participant category to plan visits to exhibitor stands. Default: OFF. The feature is available to a user only when both the global toggle and the user's category toggle are ON.
How it works (Visitor)
-
Trigger: When a user favourites an exhibitor, a "Plan Visit" modal appears.
-
Modal copy: Title — Would you like to visit exhibitor stand?; Subtitle — You can choose a preferred date and time.; Actions — Plan Visit / No, thanks. Date and time are both required.
-
Date selection: The user can choose only from event dates, up to 10 future dates. Short events (e.g. 3 days) show all event days; long-running communities show up to 10 upcoming days.
-
Time selection: 08:00–20:00 (respecting the event's 12 h / 24 h format setting), in 30-minute intervals.
-
Optional: The user can Skip and still favourite the exhibitor without planning a visit.
-
Unfavouriting an exhibitor does not remove an existing planned visit; the intention remains until the user explicitly deletes it. Favouriting the exhibitor again re-opens the modal so the user can edit the date/time or create a new planned visit.
-
Stand configuration (none / one / multiple stands per exhibitor) does not affect this feature — only the visit intention is recorded.
Visitor profile — Attend a Stand tab
A new Attend a Stand tab is added to the visitor's profile. It shows a chronological list (by date/time) of all exhibitors the user plans to visit. Each row displays:
-
Exhibitor name (linked to the exhibitor profile)
-
Exhibitor logo
-
Stand(s), if present
-
Date and time of the intended visit
Actions per row:
-
Edit — opens a popup (Edit your planned visit / Subtitle: You can change the date or time of your visit. / Actions: Update Visit, Cancel). Snackbar on success: Visit updated successfully.
-
Delete — opens a confirmation (Delete exhibitor from the visit list / Subtitle: Are you sure you want to delete this exhibitor from your list of planned visits? They will remain in your Favourites.). Snackbar on success: Deleted from Attend a Stand.
The Attend a Stand button is also available from My Schedule for any user who has access to the tab, so the list can be reached without going through the profile menu.
Exhibitor profile — Attend a Stand tab
A new Attend a Stand tab is added to the exhibitor's view. It shows a chronological list (by date/time) of users who intend to visit this exhibitor. Each row displays:
-
User first and last name
-
Photo
-
Job title and company
-
Date and time of the intended visit
Exhibitors cannot edit or delete entries from this list — it is read-only on their side.
The Attend a Stand button is also available from Team Schedule for exhibitors who have access to the tab.
Mobile app
The Attend a Stand list on both the visitor profile and the exhibitor profile is available in the mobile app via webview. The dedicated Plan Visit / Edit / Delete modals reuse the same web flow.
Responsive behaviour
On desktop the Attend a Stand list is a table with columns for Exhibitor, Date/Time, Stand(s) and Actions. Below 768 px (tablet portrait and mobile) the table switches to a card layout for readability.
