ExpoFP integration (app)

ExpoPlatform has a native integration with ExpoFP Floor Plan solution.

Admin Panel Settings

To enable the integration go to Event Setup → Settings → Enable toggle for ExpoFP integration → Add Event Id and Event Name.

Event Id and Event Name will be taken from ExpoFP Admin login. Your EP Technical Account Manager can help with these details.

Remember to disable other floorplan integrations and external floorplan.

Order:0 can be assigned to a stand on ExpoFP designer tool to make only the parent company name visible on the stand. Go to ExpoFP → Click Exhibitors → Assign Order:0 as tag.

The EP TAM needs to provide the ExpoFP team with an export that includes exhibitor names, stand IDs, and hall IDs. This is necessary to ensure that the exhibitor names are mapped (for displaying) to the stands on the floorplan.

  • Without mapping: Only Stand ID will be displayed

  • With mapping: Exhibitor Name + Stand ID will be displayed

Map with Hall setting

A Map with Hall toggle is available in General Settings → ExpoFP integration. This setting controls how ExpoPlatform maps exhibitor stands to ExpoFP when a venue uses hall-qualified stand names (e.g. "Halle 3.0 G61" rather than just "G61").

Map with Hall = OFF (default): The app uses stand name only (e.g. G61). Behaviour is unchanged from previous releases.

Map with Hall = ON: The app merges Hall + space + Stand (e.g. Halle 3.0 G61) to match the ExpoFP stand format. Lookups between ExpoPlatform and ExpoFP use this combined value on both web and mobile.

Use this setting for venues and floorplans that include hall information as part of the stand identifier. Enabling it ensures correct exhibitor–stand matching in events where stand names are not unique across halls.

Requirements

The organizer needs to provide the floor plan data in the below format to create the sync between ExpoPlatform and the ExpoFP floor plan:

  • Events with more than 250 booths: floor plan file format should be AutoCAD/DWG

  • Events with less than 250 booths: PDF / PNG / DXF / SVG file formats

  • Ensure that Stand Numbers are unique on ExpoPlatform and ExpoFP; in case of identical names, append "-1", "-2", etc.

The lead time for floor plan creation is 2 weeks.

Once the floor plan is created on ExpoFP it will be auto-synced/updated on the ExpoPlatform Floor Plan page (/newfront/floorplan).

How ExpoFP Floor Plan works on Frontend (Web and App)

Stand numbers are tied to exhibitor profiles and exhibitors can be searched by both Stand Number and Exhibitor Name on both web and app. Once an exhibitor name/stand number is clicked on the floorplan, the name and logo of the exhibitor are visible, along with interaction buttons and navigation to the exhibitor profile.

Users can search for custom locations on the web view of the floor plan. Note: custom location search is not available on the mobile app.

Get Directions shows travel time, distance between two stands, and estimated arrival time on both web and app.

Sessions can be searched by their location/area (not by session name) on the floorplan. Set up under Management → Floorplan → Add Session Location as stands and mark as conference room.

If changes are made or a file is imported while someone is using the floor plan design tool, the save will overwrite alterations made after opening and before saving — the tool is not synchronous. To update exhibitor information, the ExpoFP ID parameter is needed for overwriting.
