How to Use Session Cards in Email Campaigns

The session card functionality allows you to easily showcase relevant event sessions directly in your email campaigns, ensuring your recipients receive tailored content based on the matchmaking results and visibility settings.

Session cards are taken from the Recommendations section on the front end.

The number of sessions to be included can be set up by the organiser as explained in the Recommended Content Variables article.

What’s Included in a Session Card?

Each session card will display the following details:

  1. Track Name: This refers to the theme or category of the session (e.g., "Biology").

  2. Picture: A visual representation of the session.

  3. Speakers and Moderators Icons: Icons of the session's speakers and moderators. If there are more than three, a "+X" icon will show the number of additional speakers.

  4. Session Name: The title of the session.

  5. Date: The scheduled date for the session.

  6. Sponsors: Icons representing session sponsors. Similarly, if there are more than three, a "+X" icon will indicate the remaining sponsors.

How It Works

  • Clickable Elements: Both the session name and picture are clickable. When clicked, they will direct users to the session's page.

  • Session Visibility: Only sessions that are visible to the recipient based on their assigned category (e.g., Buyer) will appear in their email. This ensures personalized and relevant content is delivered.

Troubleshooting:

Question:

A user received the email campaign but there were no recommended sessions visible.

Solution:

There could be 2 reasons:

  1. The user did not fill out the Interest categories.

  2. There is a participant category visibility set for the session/s.
