Recommended Products Variable

Feature Purpose:

Including recommended products in marketing emails

Working with this Feature:

Products recommended for each user can be included in emails using the Recommended Products Variable.

The products that are recommended to each user are based on the matchmaking algorithm.

The number of products to be included can be set up by the organiser as explained in the Recommended Content Variables article.

The exhibitor’s name on these cards is not clickable but the user can can click on the picture or name of the product and in this case, we will be directed to the product's profile.

If the user clicks on the Favourite button in the email and the Product is already favourited, no actions are applied - the user is just redirected to the product’s profile.

Clicking on the product card’s Meeting or Message interaction buttons allows interaction with the exhibitor this product belongs to (or team member if he/she is assigned to this product), however several different settings impact the result as outlined in the table below.

Notes

Allow exhibitors to manage the reception of meeting requests and messages

When the “Allow exhibitors to manage the reception of meeting requests and messages” option is enabled in Admin Panel > Registration settings > Exhibitor > Additional settings, exhibitors can control these settings from the front-end under Burger menu > Profile info > Settings > Connection settings (see the screenshot below). Exhibitors can choose whether to accept meetings and messages.

We have popup This account denied receiving messages

Limits for categories (participant)

Limits for both daily and total online and onsite meetings, as well as chats, are set in Registration settings > Participant categories > Category settings.

In case of meetings it shows the notification about the limit only if we picked the meeting type where we reached the limit

We are directed to the community page and pop up You used your chats initiations limit!

If we click on the Meetings button, we need to have a pop-up with 2 options for table and regular meetings in case if table meetings are available for the event. Then only after we picked the meeting, we are moved to the respective menu for setting up the meeting. If we reached our limit for any type of meeting we would have the Next step button blocked so we can’t set up a meeting.

Permission matrix (interactions are forbidden between the participant (initiator) and exhibitor(receiver) categories)

Control whether specific exhibitor and participant categories can hold meetings, send messages, or view profiles.

Popup ‘You can’t make appointment with this account'. Also the button Next step is blocked on the page of setting up the meeting so we can’t move further

Popup 'You can’t have a chat with this account',

Even if View permission is turned off for participant to see exhibitor’s profile, we still can see the products of that exhibitor.

Module management (participant)

Remember that modules like “Make a meeting,” “Messages,” and “My favorites” for Participants, Buyers, Team members, and Exhibitors can be toggled off in Event Setup > Module management.

  • Make a Meeting: This module only affects the initiation of meetings. If turned off for Participants, Buyers, or Team members, the “Meeting” button will not appear in emails. No changes occur if turned off for Exhibitors.

  • Message: This module affects both sending and receiving messages. If disabled for any role or Exhibitors, the “Message” button will not appear in emails. The same applies to the “My Favourites” button.

The interaction button is hidden on the card in the email

If My Favourites module is turned off for exhibitors, we still can favorite the product.

Disable meetings/messages without team members (Registration settings/Exhibitor/Additional settings):

In Registration settings > Exhibitor > Additional settings, exhibitors without team members cannot schedule meetings or send messages to participants.

Popup 'You can’t make an appointment with this account'

Popup 'You can’t have a chat with this account',

Networking opt-in
