Unified Recommendations Page
As of mid-December 2024, there are no longer separate matchmaking and recommendations pages. Instead there is a new unified recommendations page where end-users can view both their people recommendations (matches) and their object recommendations (products, sessions, etc.).
Admin panel features and options:
Multilanguage
The content entered on the page should be multilingual.
Multilanguage block and its logic are common for the whole admin panel.
Settings blocks
This block is located on the left side of the page. This block allows the organizer to order items inside of the block using the drag-and-drop tool.
Items inside the “Settings blocks“:
Matchmaking
Products
Exhibitors
Session, Round Table
Groups
News
Events
Speakers
Each block consists of:
“Drag“ element, which is used to change the order of items in the “Settings blocks“ block.
“Include _____ “ toggle. When enabled and saved, the block will be shown on the Recommendations page on the frontend.
“_____ block title“ input field. Data from the fields display on the frontend as a block title. Each block has its own default value for English language
“Category“ multiselect dropdown. Using the select, the organizer can choose which user categories will see this block on the frontend. If nothing is chosen – it will be visible for all.
Options of this select are all participant and exhibitor categories and roles divided into respective groups.
Some items (ex. “Session, Round Table” block) have sub-items inside. In this case, the appearance of the item on the frontend can be handled by the “Include _____ “ checkbox. Also, the “Category“ selector moves from the item to the sub-items.
“Include _____ “ toggles and checkboxes by default are set to the state of the corresponding toggles on the old Recommendations page. If there was no old toggle for some block, the new block will be turned off by default.
All “Include _____ “ checkboxes follow the state of the parent item toggle and vice versa. When all checkboxes are unchecked, the toggle will switch Off automatically and when at least one checkbox is checked while the toggle is switched Off, the toggle will switch On automatically.
Item fields should be disabled while the “Include ____ “ checkbox is switched Off.

Block view
This block serves as the Recommendations page preview.
Titles of sections are dynamic and taken from the “_____ block title“ input field of the respective item in the “Settings blocks“ and are updated as soon as input in the “_____ block title“ input field is finished.
Save
The “Save“ button is pinned to the bottom.
As soon as Organizer clicks the “Save“ button, all changes will be applied.
Unified Recommendations page (Frontend)
The “Recommendations“ page is available for all individual users (participants, buyers, team members, etc.)

Page data
When showing data, other settings such as the permission matrix and networking opt-in affect what data is shown/not shown
Page visibility
It is important to note that the ‘Meetings’ option under Networking & Matchmaking in Module Management needs to be enabled for the Recommendations feature to work.
Although Recommendations and Meetings are not related, they are inter-connected when it comes to visibility of the feature.
If you click on ‘Recommendations’ and get an ‘Access Denied’ error, please ensure that the ‘Meetings’ option is enabled under Module Management >>> Backend >>> Networking & Matchmaking.
