RFP Creation

Overview

Only visitors can create RFP-requests.

To start a request, click the “Start Product Finder“ button on the community page (/newfront/community). After clicking, a pop-up appears. The pop-up consists of 4 screens.

Step 1: Category Selection

Here the user needs to choose their product categories of interest for the request. The list of categories is taken from the Local Categories list at /admin/categorisation/general.

To proceed the user then needs to click “Next step“. This button becomes active after at least one category is selected.

Step 2: Supplier Selection

Here the user selects the exhibitors to send their request to. By default all are exhibitors are pre-selected. The user can continue with all of the checked exhibitors or uncheck any exhibitors that they don’t want their request sent to.

Exhibitors in this list are those who meet selected the selected product categories criteria from Step 1.

To proceed click “Next step“, the button becomes active after at least one exhibitor is selected.

To proceed the user then needs to click “Next step“. This button becomes active after at least one exhibitor is selected.

Step 3: Requirements Form

Here user has to fill in these required fields:

  • Quantity – desired number of products to be supplied

  • Budget – in currency defined in the admin panel on the RFP settings page

  • Delivery deadline – date by when the supply is needed

  • Country – where to deliver supply

An optional additional information field is also provided for any comments

Step 4: Submission

After all required fields have been filled in, the user can click the “Send your request“ button at the bottom of the Requirements Form. They will then get the below pop-up.

Selected exhibitors will then receive a notification about the incoming RFP request and can see view the request at /newfront/profile/rfp.
