ReCAPTCHA

reCAPTCHA is a security measure implemented on websites to prevent automated bots and spam from accessing and submitting information. It is a type of CAPTCHA (Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart) that uses various challenges to verify if a user is a human or a bot.

It is important to have reCAPTCHA on a registration system because without it, bots can easily create fake accounts, fill out registration forms with fake information, and cause a host of problems. This not only makes it difficult for genuine users to access and participate in events, but it can also damage the integrity of the registration system, as well as the credibility of the event.

That's why it's now mandatory for all events to have reCAPTCHA enabled. This ensures that only real people can register for the event, and it helps to prevent spam and bots from interfering with the registration process.
