Due to this incorrect configuration, the users will not be able to proceed to other sections within their profile and will see the below error message:
Potential cause 2:
If a visitor opens their profile but some fields are missing, or saving the form has no effect, this can be due to visibility rules. When a visitor reports their profile isn't saving or fields aren't appearing, ask which role they're logged in as, then check the form builder for conflicting parent/child visibility rules.
In the Admin Panel form builder, a parent field/component is configured with one audience visibility rule (for example, "visible to speakers only") while its child fields have a conflicting rule (for example, "visible to everyone except speakers"). When a user falls outside the parent's audience the children never render, even if their own rule would allow it — parent visibility is resolved first.
To fix this, open the form builder, locate the parent component and ensure parent + child audience rules are consistent. If the parent is hidden for a role, its children will also be hidden. Visibility must flow top-down — never grant a child a wider audience than its parent.
