Exhibitor - Parent Child Relationship

Establishing a Parent-Child Relationship enables the parent company to manage its subsidiary companies participating in the event. This article explains how organizer can create a parent-child relationship between exhibitors in the event.

Admin Panel(backend) Setting

Event Admin can either manually or bulk/mass upload any exhibitor profile as a child company for another exhibitor.

  1. Manually adding a child exhibitor to the parent exhibitor

  • To manually create the Parent-Child relationship, Go to Admin Panel Management Exhibitor Click on the Exhibitor name for which you want to add a child/subsidiary company

  • Scroll Down to the Page and you will find a toggle for Parent/Child settings

  • Enable the toggle and now select the exhibitor you wish to add as the child company to the main/parent company

  • Download the example file, and add the details of the Parent and Child exhibitor you are uploading to the platform.

If organizer want to allow Parent Company Members to access and manage the child exhibiting company profile then you can enable the setting from Registration → Exhibitor → Additional Setting → Allow team members of Parent exhibitor to access his Child

  • Parent Company Admin Member will have access to edit the profile of both Parent and Child exhibitor

  • Admin Members of the parent company can change and control the details of both the exhibitor profile by clicking on the profile button at the top right of the screen

  • Select the exhibitor for which he wants to edit the details

  • Admin members will be redirected to the edit profile page of the selected exhibitor to make the necessary changes

  • As an end user, when you visit the marketplace, you can observe the parent-child relationship between exhibitors.

  • When the user clicks on the exhibitor name, the details of the child exhibitor will be displayed under the parent exhibitor profile

Exhibitors can now add a subsidiary/child company straight from the frontend on Expoplatform.

Module Management

The organizer can set up in the admin panel which category should be assigned to newly added child exhibitors. This can be done by navigating to Admin Panel → Registration Settings → Exhibitor → Additional Settings.

  • Exhibitors can find the My Child Exhibitor option in the “Profile info“ sidebar or header dropdown menu, this page will list all the child exhibitors already added or exhibitor can add a new child exhibitor

  • Clicking the "Add Child Exhibitor" button will display a list of all exhibitors across all events in that environment. Users can also add a new exhibitor as the child exhibitor.

    • When adding a child from another event, a notification about the potential loss of the child’s products and team members will appear.

    • In the search list, exhibitors who are already involved in parent-child relations with another exhibitor are tagged as “Already involved.”

    • Additionally, exhibitors who are already in parent-child relations with the current exhibitor are tagged as “Your child.”

  • Upon successful creation of the child exhibitor, the parent exhibitor will receive a confirmation message, as depicted in the image below.
