Discounts

This article explains about Registration Settings and how Discounts can be added and used for the event in the Admin Panel.

From this section, organizers can set-up different types of discounts that will be applicable to your event and can be used by Participants and Exhibitors while making any kind of payment that is related to the event.

Adding discounts

The discounts are divided into two categories:

Discounts By Code:

Here you can create discount codes for your event. Simply click on "Add Discount" and after that, set a discount code as per your choice and provide a description for it. You can also create different aspects of the discount, for example:

  • You can set whether the discount should be applied in Absolute value or in Percentage.

  • You can then set the value of the discount.

  • You can set the duration for which the code will be active

  • You can select the visitor category to which the discount should be applied. If this field is left empty, the discount will be applicable to all user categories.

  • You can choose on which sessions this discount code should be applicable.

  • You can choose whether you want Discount Code to apply for Tickets, Hospitality & accompanying persons too. 

  • You can also set limits for the discount.

After settings up discounts enable the Discount toggle from Registration Settings → Visitors → Additional Settings

Multi-buy Discounts:

As the name suggests from here you can set discounts which will be applicable when someone makes multiple purchases at once. Similar to the previous section from here you set multiple aspects of the discounts, for example:

  • You can set whether this discount will be applied in Absolute value or in Percentage.

  • You can also set the value for the discount.

  • You can also set for above how many purchases will this discount be applicable for example you can set the discount in such a way that if someone purchases more than two tickets for a particular session then a discount of 20% will be provided on the overall price.

In addition to these, there are a few more options, such as:

  • Export- With the help of this option you can download a report in the form of an Excel sheet about all the Discounts that have been created for the event.

  • Choose Import File- With the help of this option, the organizer can directly import already created Discounts to the system. To upload a file first, you will need to download an example file from "Download Example", you will see what columns should be there and what names they have. Then simply paste the data in the example file. Save the file and upload it by clicking "Choose import file" and "Upload".
