GDPR & Personal Data protection
ExpoPlatform system fully complies with GDPR regulations and is sufficiently flexible to allow the organiser to handle the GDPR requirements correctly for their specific event needs.
‌Users are able to opt out of networking during sign-up, and at any point later from within their profile. These consents (consent and withdrawal of consent) are recorded explicitly with a date/time stamp. An organiser is able to extract all data relating to a user or data subject by downloading a report from the entire instance of a user's profile. This includes: visitor profile; threads and messages they started, commented on or are mentioned in; recorded exhibitor interactions the user may have had. Profiles can also be permanently deleted along with the user's personal details.
In addition, the Organiser can set whether or not the EU Cookie Law popup should appear and if so, can customize the text that appears.
EP Privacy Options:
Option 1: By setting some registration fields as ""sensitive"", such fields won't be shared within the exhibitor downloadable lead report.
Option 2: As the Organizer you can choose to fully remove the emails and phone numbers from the downloadable lead reports.
Option 3: As the Organizer I can choose which active actions trigger contact info sharing via the exhibitor downloadable lead report: confirmed meeting, favourited, watch on-demand.
Option 4: As the Organizer I can choose whether or not to enable networking opt-in by default
Option 5: As an end user I can set myself to invisible. The invisible mode allows a participant to hide their profile from:
Appearing in search
Being shown on exhibitor dashboards (i.e. tracked)
Appearing in matchmaking results
This all sits under one option and the option can be either set up as an opt in or an opt out by the organiser. When a person who has opted out attempts to do an interaction (i.e. sending a message, or requesting a meeting), they are informed that they have opted out of networking, and must opt in, in order to use these features. If they opt in, they will be able to send the message or request a meeting, if they don't they won't be able to.
