Permission Matrix
This is one of the most crucial functionalities that helps the organizer to control the connections between the visitor categories and exhibitor categories.
You can find Permission Matrix on Admin Panel >> Event Setup > Networking and Matchmaking > Manage Permissions.
For example, if there are 2 visitor categories- VIP and Student and there are 2 exhibitor categories- Gold and Platinum.
Now, as an organiser you might want only VIPs to initiate the connection (meet, message and view profile) with Platinum exhibitors, in this case, the organizer can toggle on the connection settings for VIPs and keep the toggle off for other visitor categories allowing only VIPs to send the connection request to Platinum exhibitor.
In the image below, the x-axes are the Receiver category and Y axes are the Initiator categories.
View Profile toggle off hides the listing of object under that category from the respective listing page
Below are important points that should be considered while setting the Permission Matrix
If something is not allowed for at least one category/role then this also would not be allowed for all unlogged users
In case user has multiple categories and roles, if something is allowed for at least one of them - then it would be allowed for this user.
