General Analytics

Overview:

The analytics module is designed to provide comprehensive insights across all events managed by each client. The analytics module is equipped with a navigation menu located at the top of the page. This menu allows you to seamlessly switch between different analytics tabs or pages, facilitating a comprehensive exploration of data. Following this article are detailed articles about each of those tabs and pages.

The current article is about the general features that all (or a lot of) analytics pages have in common.

  1. Organizers can select the event for which they wish to view the meeting details. Single select. There is an option to pick All events. Leaderboards are not shown in case All events are picked.

  2. Almost all graphs (with the exception of the Online now graph on General dashboard page) is presented from the time point of 2 years before the event till today.

  3. The logic of line and bar graphs:

Time Range Display in Charts:

Our charting system automatically adjusts the time range view based on the duration of your events:

  • Daily View: For events lasting up to 12 days.

  • Weekly View: For events that span 12 days to 12 weeks.

  • Monthly View: For events extending beyond 12 weeks.

Charts display 12 units (days, weeks, or months) at a time, depending on the selected view. Switching between these views is instant and seamless.

For community events, the default view is set to monthly, ensuring you focus on the most significant data.

Navigation and Interaction:

  • Navigating Through Time: Use the left and right arrows to move through the chart. Each click shifts the view by 12 units (days, weeks, or months).

  • Handling Partial Data: If you're near the end of the chart and there isn’t enough data for a full range (e.g., only 3 weeks left in a monthly view), the view adjusts to display the remaining data.

Initial View and Page Refresh:

When you first access a chart, it automatically displays the segment with the highest value, giving you a quick insight into the most critical data. After refreshing the page, the default view is restored, again focusing on the highest value.

View Switching:

If you switch between views (e.g., from daily to weekly or monthly), the chart keeps the focus centered on the same time period. For instance, if you’re viewing January to March in a weekly view and switch to daily, the chart will focus on mid-February.
