Exhibitor Form

Feature Purpose:

The Exhibitor Form settings allow administrators to control various aspects of the exhibitor profile creation and editing process, ensuring that the necessary information is collected and managed efficiently. This feature helps enforce required fields, manage exhibitor content, and restrict the editing of specific profile sections.

The image highlights the options discussed in this article.

Working with this Feature:

  1. Enable Required Fields:

    • Purpose: This setting ensures that fields marked as "required" in the registration form must be filled out by the exhibitor in their exhibitor profile when they are log in. The exhibitor will not be able to save their profile unless all required fields are completed.

    • How to Use:

      • Enable this option to enforce the completion of mandatory fields in the Exhibitor Profile.

      • Once enabled, all fields marked as "required" will prevent the exhibitor from saving their profile without filling them out.

  2. Show Info Frames on Exhibitor Profile:

    • Purpose: Controls the visibility of "Information Frame" blocks in the exhibitor profile on the event website. These frames can be used by the organisers to provide additional information to help exhibitors fill out their profiles correctly.

    • How to Use:

      • When enabled, the info frames will appear on the exhibitor’s profile page, guiding them with helpful information.

      • When turned off, these info frames will only be visible on the registration page, and not during profile editing.

  3. Disable Sections for Edit:

    • Purpose: This option restricts the exhibitor from editing certain sections of their profile, ensuring that certain information remains fixed.

    • Available Options:

      • Edit Profile: Disables the ability to edit personal profile information.

      • Products Catalogue (Products): Disables editing of product listings.

      • Brands: Disables editing of brand information.

      • Team Members: Disables editing of team member details.

    • How to Use:

      • Select the sections you wish to disable for editing. Once selected, exhibitors will not be able to modify those sections from the front end.

  4. Required Video:

    • Purpose: This setting makes it mandatory for exhibitors to upload a video before saving their profile.

    • How to Use:

      • When enabled, the "Video" tab will open by default for the exhibitor. They will not be able to leave the page until a video has been uploaded and saved.

  5. Required Marketing Content:

    • Purpose: Forces exhibitors to upload marketing content (such as promotional material) before saving their profile.

    • How to Use:

      • When enabled, the "Marketing Content" tab will open by default for the exhibitor. The exhibitor will not be able to leave the page until they have uploaded the required marketing content.

  6. Disable Short Name (Redundant): This setting is no longer functional and will be removed in a future update.

  7. Disable Fascia Name (Redundant): This setting is no longer functional and will be removed in a future update.

  8. Restrict Exhibitor Logo Cropping (Redundant): This setting is no longer functional and will be removed in a future update.

Troubleshooting:

  • Exhibitor Unable to Save Profile Due to Required Fields:

    • Solution: Ensure that all required fields are filled in before attempting to save the profile. If the "Enable Required Fields" option is turned on, the exhibitor will not be able to save their profile unless all mandatory fields are completed.

  • Exhibitor Cannot Edit Certain Profile Sections:

    • Solution: Check if the "Disable Sections for Edit" settings have been enabled. If any sections are disabled, exhibitors will not be able to edit them from the frontend. Ensure the appropriate sections are not restricted if editing is needed.

  • Exhibitor Cannot Leave the Profile Page Without Uploading Video or Marketing Content:

    • Solution: If the "Required Video" or "Required Marketing Content" settings are enabled, the exhibitor must upload the respective content before they can save their profile. Verify that these settings are correctly configured and inform exhibitors of the mandatory upload requirements.
