Buyers list

Feature purpose:

Allows exhibitors and their team members to view the list of buyers participating in the event.

Working with this feature:

Location:

The "Buyers List" page is located on the frontend of the platform at the following URL: /newfront/participants?page=buyers.

This page is accessible to both Exhibitors and Team Members. However, users who are not Exhibitors or Team Members can still see buyers listed under the Delegates section unless the buyer category has been excluded from Delegate list, which can be done under the Networking- Matchmaking-> Delegate List

Page Overview:

The "Buyers List" provides a comprehensive view of all buyers with the "Accepted" status. It is designed to help users efficiently search, filter, and interact with buyers participating in the event. This page can be customized by the organizer to control which categories of buyers are displayed.

Key Features:

1. Search Functionality:

  • A search bar is available to help users find specific buyers.

  • By default, the search applies to the following fields:

    • Name – Buyer's full name

    • Description – Buyer's profile description

    • Category – Buyer category assigned in the system

    • Company Name – Name of the company the buyer represents

    • Job Title – Buyer's professional title

  • ElasticSearch: Optionally, ElasticSearch can be enabled for more advanced search capabilities.

2. Available Filters:

Users can refine their search results using various filters, such as:

  • Countries – Filter buyers by country of origin.

  • Buyer Categories – Filter by specific buyer categories.

  • Activity Categories – Filter by the buyer's areas of interest or activity.

  • Interest Categories – Filter based on the interests marked by the buyers.

  • Meeting Availability – Filter buyers based on their availability for meetings.

  • Existing Meeting Initiator – Filter by whether the buyer has initiated meetings.

  • Existing Meeting Status – Filter by the current status of meetings (e.g., confirmed, pending).

  • Existing Chat – Filter buyers with whom there is an ongoing chat.

3. Displaying Accepted Buyers Only:

  • Only buyers with the "Accepted" status will be shown in the "Buyers" tab.

  • The status of each buyer can be checked and managed in the admin panel at /admin/hostedbuyers/buyers.

4. Interaction Buttons:

  • The page features interaction buttons that are displayed according to the standard interaction rules. These rules are defined by:

    • Permission Matrix – Determines what actions are allowed based on user roles.

    • Connections Settings – Controls who can connect with whom.

    • Networking Opt-in – Indicates whether a buyer has opted in for networking.

5. Click to View Buyer Profile:

  • Clicking on a buyer's card will redirect the user to the Buyer's Profile Page. This page provides detailed information about the buyer, including their contact details, company, interests, and activities.

Troubleshooting:

  • Buyers will only appear in the list if they have been accepted and are not excluded from display by the settings in the admin panel.

  • The list's visibility is subject to the user's permissions and settings defined in the backend.

  • Buyers will also appear in the Delegate List unless excluded under Networking & Matchmaking > Delegate List
