App Block Time Page

Feature Purpose:

The "App Block Time Page" feature allows users to view scheduled block times in their app. These block times, created through the web platform, help users manage their schedules by blocking out specific periods for various activities. The app page ensures that users can easily access and reference these blocks, though creation and editing are restricted to the web interface.

Working with this Feature:

The App Block Time Page is designed to display block time items in users' schedules. Here's how it functions:

  1. Accessing the Block Time Page:

    • Users can open the block time page from the "My Schedule" page by clicking on a block time card.

  2. Display and Content:

    • Subject: Always displayed with a maximum limit of 255 characters. It will be shown in multiple rows without truncation.

    • Description: Optional and displayed if provided. The maximum limit is 200 characters, shown in multiple rows without truncation.

    • Date and Time: Shows both event and local times if different from the event timezone.

    • Created By: Displays a clickable account card. If the block time is created by the user, it will show the user's own card. For block times created by exhibitors for team members, it will display the exhibitor's card.

    • Team Members: Shows clickable account cards for team members. This is available only for members when an exhibitor creates a generic block time for multiple team members.

  3. Restrictions:

    • Block time items cannot be created, edited, or deleted from the app. The app only displays cards and pages for items created through the web interface.

Troubleshooting:

Common issues that might arise include:

  • Display Issues: Ensure that subjects and descriptions are displayed in full without being cut off. If truncation occurs, check the app's display settings and character limits.

  • Timezone Confusion: Verify that both event and local times are correctly displayed and distinguishable. If times are incorrect, ensure the timezone settings are properly configured.

  • Clickable Account Cards: Ensure that the account cards for "Created By" and "Team Members" are functional and lead to the correct profiles. If links are broken, check the user ID mappings and account connections.

  • Accessing the Block Time Page: If users cannot access the block time page from the "My Schedule" page, verify the integration and linking between schedule items and block time pages.
